ashleigh hawken, aka the most useless human being in the entire world.

okay, okay I know alot of people claim to be the most useless person in the entire world but that title really really  does belong to me. Why? Take today for instance, I checked my emails on my lunch break to and discovered this little beauty from the company that takes care of my pay, it read:
Hi Ashleigh
Hope you are well
blah blah blah
we have two weeks worth of pay here for you but you actually never sent us your bank details
blah blah blah
you should probably give us your bank details so we can pay you
warm regards
Alixe

The worst part about this all is that i genuinely hadn't realised that I wasn't getting paid (I was probably too busy complaining about how broke I am.) There are many other reasons why I hold the title of worlds most useless human being and there will probably be many more reasons to come, all that I will share with you in due time.

Another thing I realized today is I predominately started ashleighs-corner with the intentions of it being a fashion blog however, I am yet to post a photo that is remotely related to fashion. Well that my friends is about to change.
Allow me to share with you my outfit of the day (ootd if im being hip)

I apologize for the missing bottom half of my legs but firstly this mirrors not full length and secondly I'm the size of a hobbit (at most 5'2) so there was no way i was getting a full body shot
If you are wondering: T
he dress I am wearing is an old maternity top that I stole from my mothers wardrobe $0
The hat is from a vintage market that was once set up in westfield $20
My watch was my going away present to myself, Michael Kors €279
Windsor Smith "Dion" were on ma feet RRP: $160 killer work discount: $82
I LOVE these shoes but with the uneven london ground I've almost broken my ankle around 9347104 times now.

Congrats Ashleigh, You've made another super long blog post

Have a hoppin easter!

Love,

I'm in love!

with whole foods that is. Seriously, that store has it all. I spent at least half an hour wandering round looking at all their different products (whether I have a life or not is a debatable point.)  The thing that really put the cherry on the cake for me is that they delivered one of the main things I had been missing in my life since I left Australia. Yes, I was walking down the freezer isle when my eyes festered on something that made me very, very happy. COYO!
For those of you who don't know coyo is a brand that does icecream and yogurt and all that jazz but its made from coconut milk, this makes it gluten and dairy free along with alot of oher bonuses, but basically, coyo is the shit. At the time they were out of the coyo branded ice cream but there was a substitute one that I purchased just for now (not as good as coyo but it was REALLY nice)

The day just got better and better when I got back home, I was browsin' through the top itunes chart when I spotted a band called short stack on there.
Again, if you are unaware short stack were an Australian pop punk band in Australia and I was very secretly in love with them, after this revelation all productivity for the rest oft he day went out the window. My 14 year old fan girl flared up inside and I spent the rest of the day rejoicing in my happiness (sway sway baby may or may not have been on repeat)
so yeah to sum up
1. I found coyo in the UK and it still rocks my world
2. I still (secretly) love short stack
and
3. I have no life whatsoever
But you would have already figured that out by now

I hate can openers

In fact, I despise them. Throughout my 19 years of life I think I have successfully opened around two cans. I'm not sure what superhuman powers you must posses to use one of these contraptions but I am 3000% done with can openers.
(my attempt at using a can opener, all i wanted was my re-fried beans)

In other news I got a job! At least it gives me a little peace of mind, I've been super stressed about my financial status the past couple of weeks.
I learnt a new life lesson today, never attempt to sit down whilst the tube is taking off, both I and the lady whose lap I landed in learnt that the hard way (sorry for interrupting your game of solitaire with my tush)

Today I also hit a mini milestone! Its been one month since I left Australia and boy has time flown! I'm so excited to see what the next few months bring me yet slightly scared at the same time.

Only time will tell.

4:08am rambles

hey bebs,
how are ya today?

today was a rather eventful but at the same time non-eventful day for me. I had two job interviews today, the first one being at 12:20 pm. I woke up this morning feeling pleasantly happy, checked my phone and took a glance at the time, 11:16am. fuck. My interview was in an hour and 4 minutes, i was currently looking like a bird turd who was roughly a 30 minute journey away from where I had to be. Never have I moved so fast in my life (I was only two minutes late to the interview so some props must go to me, we're of course ignoring the fact i slept through my alarm in the first place)

Other then that my day was pretty cruisy, I attended both interviews then spent the rest of my day downing multiple baked goods from M&S's bakery section and crying over the cost of uni funds over here (£15,180 a year for international students, are you KIDDING ME?)

All I can currently think about right now (apart from how broke I am) is how much I want another tattoo. Correction, how I want another THOUSAND tattoos. The only problemo is I'm not 100% set on what I want.
Also if anyone knows of any good tattoo studio's around London help a brah out and let me know!

I'm Outtie,

Love

welcome to, my blogspot page, welcome, WELCOME, welcome, welcome, WELCOME

Hey Bebs,
How are you today?

Welcome to the life of  me (Ashleigh) and the constant shenanigans that occur to me on a daily basis. I suppose I should start off telling you all a little about myself!

It all started in 1995 when my darling mothers water broke (have I gone back to far?) probably. Time to get serious.

During the start of 2013 I was stuck in a rut. Just out of highschool, no clear idea of what I wanted to do and was stuck in a mediocre job. Then, one fine day in march my friend told me about her plans to go to England for a year. "Oh! I've always wanted to go to England" I exclaimed to which she replied "well why don't you come?" so I did. A year later I packed my bags and jumped on a (very long) plane ride over here.

I suppose I'm starting my blog for multiple reasons
1. Because no one I know will listen to me complain anymore
2. Because I thought it may be fun
and
3. Because I want to share my opinions and creations with the world

So yeah!
If I haven't already mentioned I'm an aspiring stylist so this blog will probably predominately be photos of me posing in silly outfits  amongst other bits and bobs

stay golden,
Love
